A blown fuse on the Acar “protector” power strip on my desk takes out power in the whole office. Nice. No equipment was damaged, but we had to call the power company helpline to send us someone who is authorized to touch the main fuse (it’s kept in a sealed box). Silly stuff that took two hours to fix. Fortunately, most of the office is on MacBooks. Unfortunately, the UPSes provided power for 30 minutes only and shut down our servers, desktops, network and the coffee makers. The loss of the coffee makers was hardest to bear. Lots of grumpy people around the office.
